Welcome to new members!!

Board Voice welcomes members from all non profit, community based social service agency boards in British Columbia!  Each member is represented by one specific board member who will have the right to vote at General Meetings.  To join, please complete the Membership Form and send to the Federation of Community Social Services, the organization currently providing secretariat services to Board Voice.

Benefits of Membership

Board Voice sees a future where it provides a valuable service to the people of this province.    Not unlike municipalities, school boards, chambers of commerce and a host of other business interests, the principals create organizations where they can come together to formulate plans, focus their efforts and speak to government and the public about the value and benefits of their organizations.   Cutting across all service streams, Board Voice will begin a provincial dialogue between board members in all communities, bringing together people who already have shown a commitment to community service.

What to look for?

• Skilled and forceful discussions with all levels of government about issues of concern to social service agencies;
• Training programs focussed on improving governance;
• Opportunities for board members to get together with other boards to discuss provincial and community priorities;
• A broader and more coherent presentation of social services to the people of British Columbia;
• An interactive website linking board members to discussions of interest to them and their agencies;
